1. Acceptance of Terms
These terms constitute the agreement between you and WeWat Tech Limited ("WeWat", "we", "us") governing your use of WeWat Quiz, WeWat Academy and WeWat Community (together, the "Services"). By registering an account, signing in, or using the Services in any way, you confirm that you have read, understood and agreed to be bound by these terms.
If you do not agree to these terms, please stop using the Services.
2. The Services
The Services are learning and discussion platforms, including: creating and importing question banks, practice and mock exams, AI explanations and Q&A, mistake notebook and notes, public question bank sharing, and community discussion, as actually provided by us. One WeWat account works across all WeWat products.
The Services are currently provided free of charge. We may introduce paid features and will clearly explain them to you in advance.
3. Accounts
You should register with accurate information and keep your account and password secure; activities under your account are deemed to be your own. You may not lend, transfer or sell your account.
Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorised use of your account. You may cancel your account at any time in accordance with the Privacy Policy.
4. Your Content
You retain ownership of the intellectual property in content you upload, create or publish through the Services, such as questions, question banks, notes and posts ("User Content"). You warrant that User Content does not infringe others' rights and does not violate the law or these terms; you are solely responsible for it.
To operate the Services, you grant us a non-exclusive, sublicensable, royalty-free licence to store, display and distribute User Content within the Services (for example, question banks you choose to make public and posts you publish in the community). The licence ends when you delete the content or cancel your account, though removal from backups may take a reasonable time.
If your content infringes others' rights or violates these terms, we may decline to display it, take it down or delete it, and may restrict or terminate your account depending on the circumstances.
5. Conduct
When using the Services, you must not:
- upload or distribute content that is unlawful, infringing, obscene, violent, discriminatory or false;
- scrape or bulk-harvest data from the Services without authorisation, or disrupt normal operation with bots or scripts;
- reverse engineer, crack or circumvent any technical protection measures of the Services;
- impersonate others, or otherwise harm the lawful rights of other users or of us.
6. AI-Generated Content
Content produced by the AI explanation and AI Q&A features is generated by artificial intelligence models and is for study reference only; it may contain errors or inaccuracies. You should verify important information yourself and should not rely on AI output as professional advice. We make no warranty as to the accuracy of AI-generated content.
7. Intellectual Property
Except for User Content, all intellectual property in the Services — including the interface, software, trademarks and copy — belongs to us or our licensors. No one may copy, adapt or use it commercially without prior written permission. Open-source components included in the Services are governed by their respective open-source licences.
8. Changes and Suspension of the Services
We may continually improve the Services, including adding, adjusting or terminating features. Where the Services must be suspended for maintenance or upgrades, we will use reasonable efforts to give advance or timely notice. If the Services become unavailable due to force majeure, infrastructure failures or third-party outages, we will restore them as soon as possible but are not liable for resulting losses.
9. Disclaimer
The Services are provided "as is". To the extent permitted by law, we make no express or implied warranty that the Services will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that data will never be lost. You should keep necessary backups of important data (such as question banks you create).
10. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental or punitive losses arising from the use of or inability to use the Services; our aggregate liability to you in connection with the Services does not exceed the amount you actually paid for the Services in the 12 months before the claim arose (or, for free services, the minimum liability permitted by law). These terms do not exclude rights that cannot be excluded under applicable law.
11. Governing Law and Disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Hong Kong. Disputes arising from these terms or the Services should first be resolved through friendly negotiation; failing that, either party may bring proceedings in the courts of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region with jurisdiction.
12. Miscellaneous
If any provision of these terms is held invalid, the remaining provisions continue in force. These terms constitute the entire agreement between the parties regarding the Services. We reserve the right of final interpretation of matters not covered herein, subject to mandatory provisions of law.
