1. Scope
These guidelines apply to posts and comments in WeWat Community (forum.wewat.hk), public question banks, AI Glossary submissions, game leaderboard nicknames and any other content on the Services that others can see. They form part of the Terms of Use.
2. What We Encourage
- friendly, constructive discussion that respects different views;
- sharing study methods, original questions and insights, crediting sources when you repost;
- pointing out mistakes kindly, and using "Report" when you see content that breaks the rules.
3. Prohibited Content and Behaviour
- unlawful content, or content promoting or inciting crime;
- pornography, gambling, drugs, violence or terrorism;
- hate speech or discrimination based on race, religion, sex, sexual orientation, disability or similar grounds;
- defamation, personal attacks, harassment or threats;
- disclosing other people's personal data without consent (doxxing), including names, phone numbers, addresses, schools or photos;
- copyright infringement: sharing past exam papers, textbook or workbook exercises, paid courses, or other people's original questions or articles without permission;
- exam cheating: posting answers to an exam in progress, leaking questions, soliciting impersonation or selling answers;
- advertising, traffic-driving, contact details, spamming and duplicate posts;
- false information, or impersonating others or official bodies;
- malware, phishing or scam links;
- anything harmful to the physical or mental well-being of minors.
4. How Content Is Reviewed
- Automatic filtering: posts and comments that hit restricted keywords are blocked with a prompt to edit;
- Pre-publication review: public question banks and glossary submissions are published only after an administrator approves them; a public question bank needs at least 5 questions, the correct category, no infringing content and no obvious errors — if it is not approved, we tell you why;
- User reports: every post and comment can be reported, and administrators generally handle reports within 3 working days;
- Spot checks: administrators review public content from time to time.
5. Enforcement
Depending on the nature and severity of a violation and whether it is repeated, we may take one or more of the following measures:
- hiding content (the author can see the reason) or deleting it;
- unpublishing a public question bank;
- muting the account (generally 1 to 30 days, longer for serious cases);
- restricting public sharing, or terminating the account;
- for unlawful content, keeping records and reporting to or cooperating with law enforcement as required by law.
6. Copyright Complaints
If you believe content in the community or a public question bank infringes your copyright, follow Section 5 of the Terms of Use (Notice and Takedown) and email support@wewat.hk with the subject "Copyright Complaint". We generally act within 3 working days of receiving a complete complaint.
7. Appeals
If you believe your content or account was handled in error, email support@wewat.hk within 15 days of the notice with the subject "Content Appeal", stating your account, the content concerned and your reasons. We generally review and reply within 7 working days.
8. Updates
We may update these guidelines in line with legal requirements and how the community develops, and will show the last-updated date on this page.
